It was 10 years back when i joined college in Dehradun in Sept 2002. It was great moment for me, i joined an engineering college. I was thinking that my success is just "Few Steps Ahead" and i will complete my all dreams in future. I had a thinking in my mind that just after 4 years i will be a Software Engineer and i can do anything whatever i want in my life.

"For the first year i stayed in college hostel, where i made few friends Tejaswi Gupta (Teja), Gaurav Jain (Tau), Kapil Chauhan (leopard), Farid and Amit ("Sitarganj", a place in uttarakhand) . All of them had rooms on 3rd floor except me, i still remember my room was on 2nd floor room no 211. I still remember the many evenings which we spent together in Tejaswi's room 303 (three not three), where we used to rag our batch mates and i heard that few of them afraid to go in 303.
I enjoyed my best holi in 2003 in hostel, when i was in first year. Around 800 students played holi together whole night till over warden Mr. Ajit Pal Singh (APS) cut down the power and called a roll count to know who played the holi. And you know the best part it was started from 4 students (Preet, Tejaswi, Gaurav Goel and Manish jurel) who were playing cards in senior block (forgot the room number, 324 i guess). Suddenly one senior Gaurav Gupta came with color at around 10:30 PM and this holi was enjoyed by around 800 students together till 4 AM. Next day all of us cleaned the hostel with acid, Colin and deo to as inauguration was due after few weeks. After a hard work also 53 of us got suspension from hostel for 1 month and i was the only from first year among the 53 ;-)"

So come back from the old memories to the topic "Few Steps Ahead" - still my success is always few steps ahead from me, even after working as Software Engineer from last 6 years. My parents used to send me 5k rupees every month when i was in college, and i was much satisfied that time. I enjoyed a lot every month in my college just in 5k rupees per month. Now after 10 years, after working in software companies after college i am earning 15 times more salary than i used to get in college time - but i am not very satisfied what i achieved in last 6 years. What is the reason that i am not satisfied what i am doing, it was my dream to earn myself, fulfill my family's requirement. This is not only my problem, i have met lot of software engineers and they are not satisfied with their jobs, their working environment, their salaries. So i am one of the person who is still waiting for get success, means my success is still "Few Steps Ahead".
